Webcams: The Window to your Audience
The best way to interact with your viewers is by using a camera to show yourself on stream so they can see your reactions and put a face to your awesome voice. Gamecaster has support for the following camera options:
USB webcams like those from Logitech or Razer, or the ones built into your laptop.
Virtual cameras that allow you to use avatars or do custom effects like changing your background or adding animations to your camera.
Do you have a DSLR or want to use your phone as a camera? Special hardware and software lets you link your camera to your computer as a source that Gamecaster can use for a high-quality video feed.
Follow the instructions that come with your camera to make sure it’s properly installed, then go to Gamecaster’s Settings > Devices > Camera Source and select your device from the dropdown.
Some settings may need to be tweaked on your camera to get the best possible quality, so you can click on the cog icon beside the dropdown menu to access your device's Input and Output settings:
